This sound bath, broken into four movements, was inspired by the concept of Shinrin-Yoku. Recordings featured in Movement I include the earliest sets of collaborations with Leslie Grove, captured between 2013-14. Leslie on chimes, bowed cymbals, and assorted effected percussion. Rachel on a variety of synthesizers. Movement II is a remastered version of a live sound bath captured at sunrise and broadcast by Rachel in 2020 with a singing bowl, bells, and gentle vocals. Movement III follows, fading into another solo effort named after the act of forest bathing and remastered from the digital-only original verison. Finally, Movement IV sees Rachel and Leslie joining forces a second time to close out this set of performances, interweaving natural and electronic drones of sustained chord organ and synthesizer to envelope the listener in a heavy-weighted cocoon.

As a tarot, Oddments is beautifully crafted and is imbued with compelling energy and mystique. As an album, Oddments is a lovely and otherworldly accompaniment. sneaky_cactus
