With more than two dozen albums released under his own name to date, and over one hundred releases amongst a dozen known aliases and half a dozen collaborative projects, Evans's latest effort stitches together his signature dark psychedelic atmosphere into one of his most disorienting releases. Like much of his work, "Labyrinth" seeks to process long buried memory by distorting and obscuring both time and space. On "Labyrinth", Evans presents a backmasked, hiss-littered maze of tape: microcassette, cassette, 1/4" tape, 8 track, tape loops. The walls are alive and claustrophobia is your only companion.
